The purpose of dplace2.be is to provide a web mapping app for temporary events.
This web-application is the result of a class on web-development at CVO ENCORA Berchem. The web-application dplace2.be is maintained by TKMG. It is hoped that enough users get a paying account to finance the IT infrastructure and maintenance for the application. For the time being, TKMG will cover the expenses. dplace2.be (TKMG) does not process payments for users or other third parties.
This is version 1.0.2.1 of dplace2.be. You are welcome to give feedback using the email-adress given below.
The website uses "essential" session and authentication cookies where they cannot be avoided.
When you search for events by double-tapping one of the category buttons and it goes dark green, or when you adjust the time interval filter, the location as selected on the map, with an accuracy of 1km, the present time and the filter setting (time interval and category filter) will be logged. When you click on an event to see the details, the event will log a view.
This search and event view data is stored on a server in the EU (currently mijn). TKMG may eventually analyse the data and publish its findings.
That's it, no google analytics or meta stuff here.
Your registration data is stored on the server. That includes an emailadress you need to confirm to create an account. The website does not display the emailadress. Other information about your account will be public. Your emailadress may be used to contact you if necessary. That might be the case, for instance, if these terms and conditions change substantially, or if we think the information displayed on the account or its events is inappropriate or should be removed. An emailadress will be stored in a "blacklist" if we have to indefinetely exclude someone from registering. Logins, logouts, password resets and temporary blocking of accounts are registered with timestamp, account name and country in a security logfile for up to three months or less.
When you enter an event into the database, the associaton with your account and all other information you enter for the event will be public. Data of past events will be removed from the database 90 days after the event. Be aware that your event data may be collected by third parties.
The account and event view data is stored on a server in the EU (currently mijn). TKMG may eventually analyse the data and publish its findings. Email-adresses will not be published. Be aware that data visible on the website is available to everybody. Event data can also be put into an RSS-feed. Event and user data may be stored in backup files for another 6 months past their removal from the database behind the live website.
You are responsible for the content of your member and event descriptions and prepare it in accordance with the code of conduct (see below). You bear all risks associated with your content, including the risks associated with using it in reliance on its accuracy. You maintain your content and change or delete it if necessary. You may be held liable if your content is false, intentionally misleading, defamatory, or infringes the rights of third parties. This includes violation of copyright, privacy and publicity rights, trademarks, trade secrets, intellectual property rights and unlawful material.
Make sure you stay in absolute control of your account and its events. If someone else posts nonsense (or worse) events under your account, delete it and/or get a new one, or notify us to check on it.
Make sure the account description respects our code of conduct (see below).
Events can be created by selecting a location, a starting and ending time in the future, individual categories (example: Music, no cover, trumpet-icon) and individual descriptions.
Event descriptions can only be read if the creator of the event OR the viewer OR both have a “maker” account.
You are present at the event at the specified time and place.
Events must respect, if not promote the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
If applicable, you have coordinated the publication of an event with other participants to the effect that it is displayed as one event. This is relevant especially where group efforts are concerned, for example demonstrations or orchestras. You have also made sure that the event is legal with respect to the location and, if applicable, approved by the location's owner or management.
The normal registration and member account is free. Normal members have an account that holds member information such as country, categories and description of the member, their display settings etc.
A normal member account expires if no logon has happened for more than a year, and will be deleted.
The description of a maker account, and individual descriptions of the events they publish, will be visible to everyone. With a maker account, you can also see all descriptions of other members who do not have maker account.
There are free upgrades for a limited time.
Upgrades are valid for the specified period. Remaining “maker” days from former upgrades will be voided.
An upgrade lasting for one year can be bought for 1.00 €.
After the upgrade period ends, the membership type will be reset to normal membership.
Regardless of why dplace2.be (TKMG) terminates its service in general or to certain users, refunds of fees are not possible.
Membership for "member" accounts will be terminated when no logon has been registered for more than 365 days. You can also terminate membership and delete your account at any time. All events for the account will be automatically deleted from the event data table used for the map display.
Membership may be terminated by us if events strongly or repeatedly offend, discredit, or damage requirements stated in the code of conduct (human rights, sustainable development goals). Our termination of membership may include permanent blocking of the email address connected to the event and its account.
You agree to have your member and events data analyzed and published in aggregate form in other media.
